miles_hiked (col G) is the key column — enter your exact ATC Companion miles for that section. The tracker uses this directly for all stats. GPS coordinates are only used to draw the highlighted line on the map.
Set miles_hiked to 0 for states not yet started — those rows are ignored until you update the number. One row per state (or per section within a state if you have a gap).
How to get GPS coordinates from Garmin Explore
Open Garmin Explore app → Activities
Tap the activity → tap the start or end point on the map
The coordinates appear at the bottom — copy both lat and lng
